Scott Roemer, DMD, MD
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Scott C. Roemer was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. He completed undergrad at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire before moving to Philadelphia to attend dental school at the University of Pennsylvania; here, he graduated at the top of his class summa cum laude, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national honors society, and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). After finishing dental school, Dr. Roemer moved to Florida and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from the University of Florida.
Dr. Roemer completed a six-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Florida – Jacksonville, where he received extensive training and certifications in anesthesia, bone grafting, implants, third molar extractions, soft tissue grafting, pathology, and reconstruction. He is both a licensed dentist (DMD) and physician (MD) in the state of Florida, as well as a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery — the pinnacle distinction in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Roemer has been practicing in Sarasota since completing his training in 2017. He strives to make every patient feel welcome and safe, and highly values making patient care his number one priority.
Dr. Roemer lives in Sarasota with his wife Christina and their daughter Ellie. Outside of oral surgery, Dr. Roemer enjoys fishing, golfing, tennis, supporting the Gators, spending time with family and friends at a park or around the pool, and exploring all the different restaurants that Sarasota has to offer.
